Professional Summary
My professional role is centered around the care of acute psychiatric patients admitted to the hospital with a specialized focus on the care of older adults. The aims of my work are to minimize acute psychiatric distress and optimize quality of life at any age. To do this, I emphasize the importance of an interdisciplinary approach and work closely alongside geriatric medicine, occupational and physical therapy, social work, and pharmacy to achieve each patient’s goals. I harbor particular interest in treatment of geriatric depression, advanced care planning, and electroconvulsive therapy. I am committed to providing the highest level of evidence-based psychiatric care to our geriatric population.
