Professional Summary
I serve as the Medical Director of the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Erie Country Medical Center, which provides intensive outpatient mental health care to adults using medication management, individual therapy, and group therapy. Our program is rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and is equipped to help with a wide range of symptoms, including from mood, anxiety, trauma-related, and personality disorders. I am gratified not only by helping clients with symptom management, but truly understanding their life experiences, unique perspectives, and aspirations. I enjoy using therapy to help clients better understand themselves and more lead fulfilling lives based on their personal goals.
Beyond my clinical work, I am highly passionate about medical education. I am the Director of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, which affords me the exciting opportunity to educate our next generation of physicians about Psychiatry. I work with students in many settings including lectures, small groups, and clinical practice. I deeply enjoy introducing future doctors to the incredibly important world of mental health and helping them connect with clients in meaningful ways. Additionally, I am very involved in the training of psychiatric residents, supervising them clinically in medication management and psychotherapy, as well as offering didactic instruction. Teaching is one of the greatest pleasures of my work.

Personal Statement
Outside of medicine, two of my deepest passions are for music and film. I enjoy listening to music of many genres and find great joy in playing the guitar. I am an admirer of all cinema, particularly art house films which focus on psychologically rich characters and utilize unconventional methods of visual and narrative storytelling.
