Professional Summary

Most of my career as a Psychiatrist has involved treating individuals with severe mental illness in the inpatient setting. Early in my career I focused on understanding the relationship between alcohol use disorders in individuals with schizophrenia. Subsequently, I became more involved in resident and medical student education and have focused on developing innovative teaching methods, curriculum development and assessment methods in residency training. Clinically, I enjoy the collaborative nature of working with a treatment team and outpatient providers to enhance patient care and obtain the best possible outcomes for patients as they leave the hospital.
