Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; Psychiatry
Professional Summary
I am a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who takes a broad approach towards understanding children and their families, to best help them overcome whatever mental health challenges they may face. I treat children and adolescents with ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, Bipolar Disorder, and other psychiatric conditions. During the assessment period, I get a comprehensive understanding of the child’s life and how their symptoms are impacting their daily functioning, and then help children and their families decide the best route to address those, whether it be through psychiatric medications or not. I value the traditional doctor-patient relationship. My patients who I see in an outpatient setting know that I will always be the one seeing them for appointments, allowing our doctor-patient relationship to build over time.
I also work as a psychiatrist on the Consultation and Liaison team at Oishei Children’s Hospital. In this setting, I evaluate patients who present with more acute psychiatric concerns, or for whom there is a strong overlap between medical and psychiatric symptoms. My work in this setting also helps me have a broader understanding of the patients I see on an outpatient basis.
Lastly, I value the importance of educating future doctors, and supervise trainees in various stages of training including child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, psychiatry and pediatric residents, and medical students both at Oishei Children’s Hospital and at an outpatient adult clinic associated with ECMC.

Personal Statement
I was born and raised in New York City, and moved to Buffalo in 2018. My parents were both immigrants from Guyana, and I grew up with three younger siblings. I was fortunate to have a wide range of experiences throughout my life, and these factors have helped tremendously in my ability to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds.
Outside of work, I have a wide range of hobbies and interests. Most of my time is spent with my wife raising our son and cat. In my everyday life, I enjoy watching sports and movies, spending time outdoors (especially in the summer), playing video games and board games, listening to music, and eating good food. On more special occasions, I enjoy traveling which often means visiting family, amusement parks, or new cities.
