Specialty/Research Focus
My specialty treatment focus is on internalizing disorders in children, adolescents and young adults; attachment disorders; and women experiencing anxiety and depression.
Professional Statement
I have over 35 years experience working with children, adolescent, young adults and women in varied therapeutic and research settings including a hospital based psychiatric clinic; a child and adolescent inpatient unit; a child residential treatment facility; a therapeutic preschool and three private practices. I directed The Children’s Psychiatric Clinic of Oishei Children’s Hospital from October, 2009 until December, 2022.
My apprach to treatment is integrative, incorperating cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal and family system treatment models.
Education and Training
I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at The Colorado College and my Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology at Arizona State University. I completed a postdoctoral Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital/Kennedy Kreiger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
Personal Statement
My personal interests include cooking, reading, yoga and travel. I appreciate and value cultural diversity and traditions encountered during international travel. I strive to bring this sense of curiosity and wonderment into my clinical work.
