Professional Summary
I am a clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry with a research-focused role. My research aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of mental health services be advancing our understanding of mental health conditions and the individual and contextual factors that predict risk and treatment response. A primary focus of my work is clarifying how exposure to stressful or traumatic events contributes to mental health, social, and behavioral outcomes. I also work to develop and refine interventions to treat these difficulties.
In addition to my research role, I provide clinical supervision and training to clinical psychology interns who provide services at Erie County Medical Center and UBMD Psychiatry.
